Summary: Guide to setting up the Voyager 105 USB Broadband Modem.

1 Download the Voyager 105 USB MAC installation file to a temporary folder on your Hard Disk drive.

2 Uninstall the current drivers from your Mac. This is done by double clicking on the application Uninstall, this is under Macintosh HD/Application/BT Voyager 105 ADSL Modem. Follow the on screen instructions.

3 Create a new folder on your Hard Disk drive - e.g. Voyager Drivers.

4 Unstuff the downloaded file Voyager105USBMAC_installation.sit to the new folder you have created (you will need to use an unzip utility such as stuffit to perform this function).

5 Ensure that the USB cable between the Voyager 105 modem and Macintosh is disconnected.

6 Go to the new folder Voyager Drivers and double click on the file BT Installer.app.
Follow the on-screen instructions, plugging in the blue USB cable when prompted. At the end of the installation, restart your Macintosh.

Mac OS9
Installation is complete. You will be able to connect to the Internet via Remote Access - this will still have your username and password details you entered previously.

Mac OSX
When your Macintosh has restarted you will need to configure the modem.

1 Open the application Internet Connect.

2 From the configuration menu select BT Voyager 105.

3 To Edit your Username Click the Edit button (Mac 10.3 customers need to double click the System Preferences icon in the dock and then select Network).

4 The Network window will appear. Select the PPP tab.

5 Enter your broadband username and password.

6 Tick the option Save Password.

7 Click Apply and Close the Network Window. You will be returned to the Internet Connect application.

8 Click Connect to make a connection and surf the internet.

Congratulations, you should now be connected to the Internet!

Mac OSX Tiger and Broadband Max

You may see some of the following problems if you're using Mac OSX Tiger with Broadband Max:

1. Can connect for up to one minute but then lose the ability to surf the Internet. The Voyager 105 remains in sync and the PPP connection is still running.

2. Can connect for about 3 minutes then a dialogue box appears stating that there is no longer a response from the remote server, and the PPP connection is terminated. The session is then terminated.

3. When trying to reconnect you get a message stating there is no response from the far end. In order to get a PPP session again, you either have to remove then re-connect the USB cable, or restart the Mac.

At no point does the Voyager 105 lose synchronisation with the DSL line. These problems only occur with Broadband Max
